Get Rid Of Household Waste Free

Brookfield residents can drop off hazardous household waste for free during a collection day at the New Milford Railroad Station parking lot on Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A licensed contractor will be on hand to take hazardous products, which must be labeled or in the original container.

The contractor and towns reserve the right to reject certain materials or impose special fees. Alkaline batteries and electronics will not be accepted, though the later can be dropped off at the nearby Recycling Center free of charge.

Bring proof of residence.
