Leading Democratic candidate Chris Murphy told the News Times editorial board that if he faces Linda McMahon in the general election he’s certain he’ll be outspent.
"She's already spent more on TV ads this year than I spent in my entire campaign in 2010," Murphy told the newspaper.

Chris Donovan (D): The big news out of the Fifth District race is the report that says Chris Donovan is not involved in his campaign manager’s alleged corruption. Still, the candidate is not speaking about the federal investigation, according to the Register Citizen.
Andrew Roraback (R): The most recent quarter for filing political donations has come to a close, and Roraback says he raised $100,000 in May and June, according to the Register Citizen.
