Original Story

Incumbent State Rep. David Scribner (R-107) received the endorsement of Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury Republicans in the August primary after Brookfield Board of Education member Harry Shaker was nominated at the party caucus.

The 107th District Democratic Caucus failed to nominate a candidate for the seat, however Bethel resident David Stevenson is running on the Working Families Party. Stevenson lost his last two attempts for the 107th — 2008 and 2010 — running with Democratic and Working Families endorsements.
