Using Cell Phone Ends with Moving Violations

Brookfield driver cited for several violations after observed on the phone.

Gregory Dacosta, 31, of Canterbury Court, Brookfield, was stopped on November 26 at 5:31 p.m. after an officer observed him traveling northbound on Federal Road while using a cell phone without a hands-free device. Dacosta was charged with using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle, as well as operation with a suspended license, failure to carry a valid insurance card and operating an unregistered vehicle.

Dacosta was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on December 7.
