Speeding Leads to Suspended License Charge

Brookfield woman charged after allegedly speeding near Huckleberry Hill Elementary.

Brookfield police conducted a motor vehicle stop at 11:13 a.m. on Jan. 6 involving Lauriston Beech, 31, of Hollis Drive, Brookfield, in the area of Huckleberry Hill Elementary School on Candlewood Lake Road. Beech’s license was found to be suspended and she was charged with traveling unreasonably fast and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Beech was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 18.

Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
