Southbury Resident Arrested for DUI Sunday

Police pulled over a Southbury resident on a tip of a possible drunk driver.

Brookfield police responded to the area of Lake George Road on Sunday for a reported possible drunk driver. Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle fitting the description given by the calling party.

Ryan Simmons, 24, of Mansion House Road, Southbury, was found to be the operator of a blue Subaru Impreza. Simmons failed field sobriety tests at the scene and after further investigation he was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

Simmons posted $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 28.
