Search of Parked Car Results in Arrest for Intent to Sell

New Milford man charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia with intent to sell.

While on patrol at 1:53 a.m. on Aug. 31, officers found an occupied vehicle parked across from the Candlewood Inn. Officers made contact with the occupants and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana.

A search of the vehicle resulted in David Bauman, 24, of Perry Drive, New Milford, being taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (more than half an ounce but less than 4 ounces of cannabis), possession of paraphernalia used in the manufacture and sale of drugs and possession with intent to sell.

Bauman was released on $1,000 bond with a court date set for Sept. 12.
