Police Blotter: Two Larcenies in Two Days
The following arrest information was supplied by the Brookfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Friday, October 7
Brookfield officers responded to Kohl’s for a report of a female party, Nicole Naishtut, 25, of Bennetts Farm Road, Ridgefield, attempting to fraudulently return an item that she had acquired in the store and placed into a shopping bag. After being denied the return, Naishtut reportedly left the store with the item and was apprehended by Kohl’s Loss Prevention.
Naishtut was arrested and charged with larceny in the sixth degree: shoplifting, before being released at the scene on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on October 18.

Police were dispatched to Kohl’s at 6:39 p.m. for reports of a shoplifting. Loss Prevention allegedly saw a juvenile stealing a pair of slippers and called the Police Department. The juvenile was issued a summons for larceny in the sixth degree.
