New York Man Charged with DUI After Driving in Wrong Lane

Traffic stop leads to DUI and moving violation.

A traffic stop for driving in the wrong lane in the early morning hours of Oct. 19 lead to a DUI.

Edgar Chacon, 30, of Route 67, Mahopac, NY, was allegedly observed driving in the wrong lane while traveling northbound on Federal Road around 2 a.m. on Oct. 19.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and administered field sobriety tests, which Chacon failed.

He was arrested and charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Chacon was released on $500 bond with a court appearance scheduled for Oct. 29.
