Failure to Stop Leads to DUI Charge

Woman charged with driving under the influence and speeding.

On Nov. 29 around 8:56 p.m., officers observed a white BMW traveling through the intersection of Silvermine Road and Pocono Road at a high rate of speed. The BMW failed to stop for a posted stop sign and officers conducted a motor vehicle stop.

While conducting the stop, officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the operator’s breath.

Kerrilee Klesh, 47, of Ashwood Lane, later failed a field sobriety test and was arrested on charges of failure to obey a stop sign, traveling unreasonably fast and operating under the influence.

Klesh posted $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Dec. 10.
