Danbury Police Locate Suspected Shoplifter
City officers arrest woman wanted by Brookfield police for alleged shoplifting.
Brookfield police responded to Kohl’s just after 3 p.m. on Oct. 4 for a shoplifting complaint and Loss Prevention officers at the store were able to provide them with a suspect and description of the getaway vehicle.
The suspect was later identified as Roberta Leach, 53, of South Street, Danbury, and located by Danbury police while driving along Main Street.
Danbury officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and contacted Brookfield officer Christopher Campbell, who responded to Danbury Police Headquarters where Leach was positively identified and arrested.
Leach was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and released on $100 cash bond with a court date scheduled for Oct. 15.
