Amber Alert for 1-Month-Old Torrington Baby Cancelled [UPDATED]

Mother Amirah Alfar and child were found safe, reports state.

Torrington Police cancelled an Amber Alert for one-month-old Shiloh Gilbert-Alfar , according to NBC Connecticut.  

The New Haven Register reports that the mother and child were found and are safe. Additional details were not available.

An Amber Alert for a one month-old baby was issued Monday morning, June 30. Police believe she is with her mother. The two have been missing since Saturday, June 28.

Shiloh Gilbert-Alfar was born on May 27. Her mother, Amirah Alfar, is 30-years old. She has brown hair and eyes. No clothing description was given. She is 5 feet tall.

Shiloh is 24 inches and weighs 7 pounds.

NBC Connecticut reports that the state Department of Children and Families went to Alfar's home so serve an order for Shiloh's removal from her mother's custody, but parent and child were gone when they arrived.
