Save the Brookfield Boardwalk!

Have you heard of Brookfield Open Space Legacy (BOSLI)? Most people who live in Brookfield haven't, although the land trust has been around since 1965.  BOSLI manages over 180 acres of nature preserves in Brookfield. Several of these parcels have trails that are open to the public. One of these parcels is the Hop Brook Sanctuary, a 40 acre marsh on Longmeadow road. The trail includes a boardwalk that takes you across this unusual but serene and tranquil space. But the boardwalk, build in the early 1970's is in serious disrepair. BOSLI is hosting a fundraising dinner dance and silent auction on May 31st to raise funds to repair the walkway. Join us for a fun evening of dinner, dancing, and shopping! Tickets are only $60pp and are available at www.BOSLI.org.
