My daughter has been dancing at the Brookfield School of Performing Arts for six years. She has transformed into a dancer and now makes up her own routines. It is joyful for her and me.

I have danced at Academy of dance Arts for 14 years, it's become my second family. The wonderful teachers have helped me to develop in to a dancer. Thanks to Academy of Dance Arts I have been able to grasp many opportunities including acceptance into the Rockette Summer Intensive. Academy of Dance Arts has a great environment, classes are fun and students are able to use their creativity, including student choreography opportunities.

My daughter has been dancing at Dance Dimensions for 10 years . Ms Dody has been an incredible role model and a second mom to my daughter . Ms Dody goes above and beyond the role of instructer.. She has touched my heart many times. We are blessed to have such a positive leader in our town .

Never before in my life have I been in a studio as respectful, determined, and family friendly than Dance Dimensions. As a former student, now studying dance in college, I can honestly say that Every student in this studio works the hardest that they can because the teachers not only believe in what the student is able to do at the moment, but what they are capable of doing in the future. Every teacher encourages their students to be the best that they can be and to stay true to who they are. And family friendly is a key factor in Dance Dimension's success. Every single parent in this studio supports not only their own children, but every single child that walks through those doors. Not every students walks out of Dance Dimensions and goes on to become a professional dancer, but they do come out as role models to the younger students and that I think is what makes dance dimensions so special.

Dance Dimensions is a place where all students can enjoy their passion for dance. The majority of their staff are certified by Dance Masters of America, a large dance teacher organization that has been around since 1894! Through this group their staff is able to educate themselves to the changing world of dance. This enables them to pass on these changes to their students. And whether the student is a receational or competition dancer, they are all treated the same. Dance is a passion, like an artist painting a picture, these dancers tell their stories through their performances. At all times, the staff, dance families and students are so supportive of each other. It is a place where all can thrive. There is even a room called the "student center" where homework is completed in a quite enviroment while they await the start of their classes. Every student from the Diaper Darlings to the adult classes are a vital part of its existence! Way to go Dance Dimensions!

Academy of Dance Arts is my second home as it has been for 9 years now. i love all the people there, and the teachers are amazing. The dances every year get better and better. There are so many opportunities at this studio and so many different classes are offered. Love it<3

This is a great idea but really not an accurate poll. Fred Astaire and Form Fitting are geared towards adult fitness and the others are dance studios for kids. 2 very different things in my opinion.

Thank you all so much for these wonderful comments. Each studio in Brookfield has so much to offer, and every one works very hard to bring outstanding programming to the community. It is nice to see so many people coming forward, and not only casting votes, but including positive messages as well. Brookfield is a great town to work within.

We are former ADA family. The only reason we left was to move down south. Our girls flourished at ADA and still dance, now they are 24 and 18 and they still have a love of dance that was cultivated from ADA. The 18 year old went to a performing arts high school in the Carolinas and because of the wonderful training she had in Brookfield she is now able to move on and is not only working in a local dance studio she is still in computations and is now working on a professional dance project with her modeling agency. I do not believe that either one of them would have gone this far or beyond if it had not been for the wonderful teachers and staff at ADA it was more then a studio it is a family.

My daughter has been dancing at Dance Dimensions for 5 years. The teachers are great and amazing in every way, each possess an individual uniqueness and talent. Over the past 5 years I have seen some extraordinary dance pieces that brought tears to my eyes and applause that rocked the house. I have had the pleasure of watching young dancers grow into professional dancers throught the hard work, determination, discipline and guidance of all the teachers. Dance Dimensions is my Daughter's home away from home. Everyone is so supportive of one another on a professional and personal level. The girls are supported to each other in every way. I couldnt be happier with my choice of picking Dance Dimensions 5 years ago. The teachers have a genuine love for their students and instill self esteem into EVERY dancer.

As a dancer, I can honestly say that Brookfield School of Performing Arts (BSPA) has had the most profound impact on my dance training above any other studio in the Brookfield area that I have trained at. Where other studios I've attended have been hyperfocused on competition, BSPA has offered nothing less than the friendliest and most encouraging outlet with which to hone my skills. This warm environment served to rebuild both my confidence and technique after the stringency and neglect of other studios. BSPA's teaching staff is set apart by their genuine concern for EVERY student's improvement, all the while encouraging exploration in the arts and fostering happiness in helping establish their students' hobbies as passions to carry with them for the rest of their lives. BSPA's advantage as a small studio is best exemplified by small class sizes and the personalized attention that comes with it. My own jazz class has 4 dancers. This allows for my instructor, Kate Martin, to help us individually rather than giving general corrections to the class, a method often used by studios with larger classes. My ballet and pointe class, instructed by the studio's owner, Deanne Petricconne, has 9. There has been nothing more helpful to me as dancer seeking to truly improve my craft than having the personal touch and attention of a small class. We at BSPA, students and instructors, are able to form a family out of our mutual love of dance and drive to ensure EVERYONE is able to improve.

I have danced at ADA for 10 years starting with Irish Step. Little did I know then that I would be a part of the competition team, open a Harlem Globetrotters game, and dance at nursing homes and in parades. The teachers at ADA are amazing and play on dancer's strengths. We are a family and I wouldn't trade our family for anything in the world. My dance mates would all agree.

I danced with Academy of Dance Arts for 15 years. That place was literally my second home and all of the people there became my family. The atmosphere there is amazing. The people there become a part of you and when you leave that part feels missing. It is a place of love and support all around. They not only support you in dance but they are there for you for everything. The memories are unforgettable. They are driven to help student succeed and that they have done. There have been students going to NYC intensives such as The Rockette's and Alvin Ailey and others. The students there flourish and strive to be better and the teachers help them do that. ADA is the most amazing studio fit for anyone at any age.

Nicole , i could not have said it better. Well done!!! I enjoyed watching you dance and grow all those years!!! The studio is proud of all their dancers, former and present!!! Kudos to Ms. Doreen for making ADA what it is today. Proud to be part of the studio family.

I absolutely, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Academy of Dance Arts! The teachers are really amazing. You can see the pride in their faces when their students learn what they are being taught. As well as the faces of the students, it is just priceless. The students come out from their classes with ear to ear smiles. As a mother, I enjoy watching my daughter classes through their monitor. Which is a plus for me! And the bonus, it's affordable but you get the quality of more expensive schools but the personal care of a smaller one. I also love the fact that they allow everyone to try their classes before deciding whether to register. My daughter tried all of the ones that are geared to her age group and I had trouble choosing just one. So I chose two and I don't regret it. I can't express enough how much I LOVE this place and looking forward to many more years with Academy Dance of Arts.

This pole's comment stream is not here to dis other studios but to support the ones we love. This pole doesn't even matter. All of our studios are great; our teachers are amazing and help us to develop. We should all be supporting each other and being positive about one another not negative. Look above. Everything there are positive comments. I trust that I can speak for everyone when saying that to be negative is not appropriate.

This was a great poll in order to see how the community feels, however I don't this it is accurate. How can one studio who wins over 500 votes more than another be considered tied? I just don't understand considering the Brookfield Budget won with only 200 votes. Just a thought maybe someone can clear this up for me. Thank you for the great idea for the poll!
Aaron Boyd (Editor) May 21, 2012 at 04:05 AM
Unlike the referendum vote, our polls are not a one-to-one voting system, so we weigh the poll results against the support users show in the directory ratings and comments. If you look at section 4 of the Readers' Choice Rules (http://brookfield.patch.com/articles/patchs-readers-choice-awards-official-rules-no-purchase-required-to-participate-197f5bff#pdf-9347923), starting with the second paragraph, you'll see a more detailed explanation of how the points are awarded. Hope that helps.
