Readers' Choice: Dance Studios

Do you love me, now that I can dance?

A graceful dance can be romantic. It can be intense. It can be art… or it can be awkward. So before you embarrass yourself on the dance floor, we’re asking where in Brookfield you learn to cut a rug?

With five dance studios in town, there are plenty of great places to feel the rhythm and hone your skills, but which is your favorite?

Cast a vote in our poll below and be sure to rate and comment on your favorite studio in our Directory, which is weighted equally with the poll results. For more on how we choose the weekly winner, .

If you’re a studio owner — or owner of any business in town — be sure to , which will help you reach local customers and sharpen your online image.

So here’s our list of Brookfield Dance Studios; be sure to let us know if there are any we missed:

The poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday and we’ll be naming this week’s winner at noon.

I absolutely, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Academy of Dance Arts! The teachers are really amazing. You can see the pride in their faces when their students learn what they are being taught. As well as the faces of the students, it is just priceless. The students come out from their classes with ear to ear smiles. As a mother, I enjoy watching my daughter classes through their monitor. Which is a plus for me! And the bonus, it's affordable but you get the quality of more expensive schools but the personal care of a smaller one. I also love the fact that they allow everyone to try their classes before deciding whether to register. My daughter tried all of the ones that are geared to her age group and I had trouble choosing just one. So I chose two and I don't regret it. I can't express enough how much I LOVE this place and looking forward to many more years with Academy Dance of Arts.

This pole's comment stream is not here to dis other studios but to support the ones we love. This pole doesn't even matter. All of our studios are great; our teachers are amazing and help us to develop. We should all be supporting each other and being positive about one another not negative. Look above. Everything there are positive comments. I trust that I can speak for everyone when saying that to be negative is not appropriate.

This was a great poll in order to see how the community feels, however I don't this it is accurate. How can one studio who wins over 500 votes more than another be considered tied? I just don't understand considering the Brookfield Budget won with only 200 votes. Just a thought maybe someone can clear this up for me. Thank you for the great idea for the poll!

Unlike the referendum vote, our polls are not a one-to-one voting system, so we weigh the poll results against the support users show in the directory ratings and comments. If you look at section 4 of the Readers' Choice Rules (http://brookfield.patch.com/articles/patchs-readers-choice-awards-official-rules-no-purchase-required-to-participate-197f5bff#pdf-9347923), starting with the second paragraph, you'll see a more detailed explanation of how the points are awarded. Hope that helps.
