Gettysburg Address

Today marks an important date in American history.  150 years ago today, Pres. Abraham Lincoln went to the Gettysburg battlefield to honor the "brave men, living and dead, who struggled here...(and) have consecrated it".  He spoke of the need to preserve our country, of a "new birth of freedom" and true equality of all our citizens.  He inspired us and tried to bring us together.  Pres. Obama was too busy in Washington to mark the occasion.
