"Brookfield Junction"

Brookfield was once the "Northern end"  of the New York , Housatonic, and Northern Railroad , a proposed link between  the Housatonic  RR  at Brookfield and the New York and Harlem RR at White Plains. The H & N did indeed link  the Housatonic with  the Danbury and Norwalk , but  the route South of Danbury was never finished. It's possible in Greenwich to view remnants of the never-completed work. The  best source of information on "Brookfield  Junction" is the "Tylercitystation"  WS
