Savina Heroux, 83

July 31, 1928 — June 23, 2012

Savina J. (Manzione) Heroux, 83, of Brookfield, beloved wife of Norman Heroux,. died peacefully at home on Saturday, June 23. She was born in Newark, NJ on July 31, 1928, daughter of the late Phillip and Rose (Traisci) Manzione.

Mrs. Heroux worked as a switchboard specialist for Consolidated Control Corp. for 31 years. She was a talented artist and seamstress. She also enjoyed her passion for world travels, especially cruising.

In addition to her devoted husband and best friend of 47 years, she will be sadly missed by her niece, Phyllis Dilea of New Buffalo, MI and step daughter Kim Heroux of Waterbury; also several nieces, nephews and their children. Mrs. Heroux enjoyed many friends and loved ones. 

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on Friday, June 29 at 5:30 p.m. Cremation will take place at the direction of the family.

The family will receive friends at the Brookfield Funeral Home on Friday evening between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108-3272.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
