Roger B. Staub, 77

January 12, 1935 - April 18, 2012

Roger B. Staub, 77, of Brookfield, husband of Patricia (Kelly) Staub, died Wednesday, April 18 at Danbury Hospital. Roger was born January 12, 1935 in Flemington, PA, the son of the late Harold and Ella (Sheasley) Staub.

Roger was a Chemical Engineer and an Executive Vice President of Union Carbide where he worked for more than 45 years. He was also a part of the transition team of Dow Chemical. Roger was a member of the Brookfield Lion’s Club. He was an avid golfer and accomplished cornet player. Roger was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and served many times as President of Church Counsel. He was a life long Penn State football fan.

Roger was very committed to his family and his church.

In addition to his wife of almost 55 years, Patricia, Roger will be missed by his children, Dean Staub of Massachusetts and Kimberly Tomore and her husband Michael of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Kathleen, Michael, Kristin and Kelley Staub and Elizabeth Baer and her husband Henry; three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph and Leah Baer. 

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the .

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Donations Information

Donations may be made in his name to Prince of Peach Lutheran Church, 119 Junction Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.
