Obituary: Gerald Francis Patry Sr.

Gerald (Jerry) Francis Patry Sr., of Brookfield, CT died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 2.

Born on December 18, 1949 in Danbury, CT, Patry attended Danbury schools and was a 1967 graduate of Danbury High School. A Vietnam veteran, Patry courageously served his country after becoming a Marine. Jonathan, his youngest son, followed in his footsteps by becoming a Marine and serving two tours of duty in Iraq, Semper Fi and God bless.

He was the proud and devoted father of three children: Jerry Jr., Jackie and Jonathan, who survive him, and their mother, Joanne (Smith) Patry. He is also survived by his four adoring grandchildren: Ava, Jerry III, Jonathan, and Mason, who affectionately knew him as "Pee-Paw". Patry is also survived by his sister, Rita Patry Lahey.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 5 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT with the Rev. Leonel Medeiros, Parochial Vicar at St. Peter's Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
