Elizabeth (Carmean) Leniart, of Brookfield, died on Wednesday, December 21 at Danbury Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1942 in Santa Cruz, CA, daughter to the late Don L. and Annette (Dubois) Carmean.
Elizabeth (Betsy) taught elementary school in Fremont, CA for 10 years and most recently was a horticulturist at John Mini Creative Landscapes for the last 16 years. Among her many passions were gardening, quilting and a love of her family. Her contagious laughter and enthusiasm touched many lives. She was a quite gentle soul that was nurturing to all who knew her.
Along with being the loving wife of Daniel Leinart for 40 years, she is survived by her son, Keith D. Leniart of Denver, CO; her daughter, Kristiana Parker and her husband Joshua of Beijing China; her sister Diana Endsley of Turlock, CA and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 29 at . Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27 at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made Congregational Church of Brookfield in memory of Betsy Leniart.
