Former On-a-Roll Deli Owner Nicola Musacchio, 73

Former deli owner and Shop Rite deli clerk passed away Tuesday.

Nicola Musacchio, Bethel resident and former Brookfield deli owner, died at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013. He was the husband of Patricia Sala Musacchio.

Nick was born Dec. 15, 1939 in Portocannone, Italy, to the late Ario Antonio and Filomena DiMuro Musacchio. He first came to the United States in 1956, returning to live permanently in 1959.

He owned and operated West Avenue Shell in South Norwalk for many years. He also owned On-a-Roll Deli in Brookfield and until recently worked in the deli department at Shop Rite in Brookfield.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Nick is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Marie Musacchio and her husband Anthony Ratyna of Wellesley, MA, Nicole Fuller and her husband Michael of Bethel, and Ann Marie Allen and her husband John of New Milford; his five grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Fuller and Cole, Jack, and Nicolas Allen; and his brother and sister-in-law Lelio and Margaret Musacchio of Norwalk; as well as an extended family in the United States and in Italy.

Services will be private.
