Carolyn 'Carrie' Robbins 45

March 14, 1967 — April 9, 2012.

 provided the following information:

Carolyn A. ‘Carrie’ Robbins, age 45, of Brookfield — formerly of New Fairfield and Brewster — died Monday in Carmel, NY.

Carrie was born in Eastchester, NY on March 14, 1967 to Joyce (Clark) Goetze of Brewster and the late Theodore A. Goetze Jr. She graduated from in 1985 and attended Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Carrie was a secretary for Prochek Home Inspections in Danbury for 10 years, a job which she enjoyed greatly. Carrie enjoyed the ocean and visits to the Jersey Shore, as well as gardening and her music. Fishing brought about a sense of calm when life would get in the way, and she could always be counted on to simply light up any room she walked into. Carrie will be greatly missed.

Besides her mother Joyce, Carrie is survived by her fiancée, Patrick Streaman of Brookfield; her daughter, Amanda Clark of Bethel; two sisters, Laurie Gallagher and her husband Chuck of Brewster and Valerie McHugh of North Clarendon, VT; and a brother, Theodore A. Goetze, III of Brewster. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Christina and Kevin Clark.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21 at  in Brewster. A private cremation was held earlier. Beecher Funeral Home (located at 1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster) will be assisting with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carrie’s memory may be made to Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, Inc. (540 White Plains Road, Tarrytown, NY 10591).

Its important the people learn how to treat our flag, many of our veterans have made the ultimateRead More sacrifice for our country and flag. Don't leave it out all night long, don't drag it on the ground while putting it up etc.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.

So Mandarin Chinese won't be a requirement? Perhaps Manchurin Chinese? Cantonese Chinese? MongolianRead More Chinese? Which Chinese are the British speaking these days? Their empire stretched in the Hindu speaking parts of Asia but they aren't teaching Hindu. A quandry indeed.

The board of education's policy should pertain to all employees of the Brookfield Board ofRead More Education.

The short answer is because they want to. If you spent twice at much they still would. EducationRead More personnel need to be monitored on social media like Patch.

I will lend a hand by voting yes for the school budget this Tuesday, May 21st. Teachers should notRead More have to pay out of pocket for school supplies.
