Amelia (Klokocovsky) Gregus, 95

March 31, 1916 - January 29, 2012

Amelia (Klokocovsky) Gregus, 95, of Brookfield passed away at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, January 29 after a brief illness. Amelia was born on March 31, 1916 in New York City, NY. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Veronica (Ducic) Klokocovsky.

Amelia was devoted to her Catholic faith and her family.

Amelia will be missed by her son Paul Gregus Jr. and his wife Elaine of Granite Springs, NY and her daughter Alberta Gregus of Brookfield. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Paul and his wife Janice and their children, Frank and Samantha of Brookfield; Jason and his sister Lorraine of Granite Springs, NY, Dawn and her husband Gregg Rosenbaum and their son Shane of Long Island, NY. Amelia was predeceased by her husband, Paul, her sister Mary Krupa and her granddaughter Lenore Gregus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 2 at , 159 Whicsonier Road, Brookfield. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1 at Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield.

Donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Church of Brookfield or the Archbishop, Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, 419 NE Madison Ave., Peoria, IL 61603.

If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
