A: You need 2 things: a Designated Spot & a List ~

  1. Designate a Spot, folder/large envelope/in-box, for all tax information.
  2. As you receive envelopes marked "Important Tax Information," put them in the Designated Spot.
  3. As you think of other supporting documents you will need, add them to a List that you keep in the Designated Spot. Also, jot down any questions you have or items you need to follow up on — add them to the List.
  4. Throughout the year, keep a detailed List of donated items and attach it to your donation receipt.
