, (7/12 ) aroused myriad 'Comments' to the various online Patch sites. I certainly won't try to come up with a conclusion using said comments, but I would like to share what I learned from this conflict:
~There were 31 responses at the time of this writing...7/16/12 /8:30am.
~ 14 responses showed favoritism toward the Pit Bull
~ 11 responses were either non committal or on a different topic

~ Pit Bulls are NOT a breed per say, but a 'type' of canine. American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier can be considered Pit Bulls.
~ It appears that Pit Bull types do well in family settings and are 'members' of groups that include children.
~ Apparently, Pit Bull types are less likely to "bite" than many of the 100 plus breeds.
~ Lennox was not genetically a Pit Bull type.
~ Lennox was considered a 'dangerous ' dog by Belfast officials.
~ The United Kingdom does NOT ban Pit Bull types. Regulations for these dogs are, however, quite stringent and include mandatory muzzling, spay/neutering, registration and so on.
~ Commenters have witnessed Pit Bull types aggressively doing harm to other dogs.
~It seems that Pit Bulls who have correct handling and consequently healthy development from puppyhood on can be key to the adult dog's temperament.
