Let's see....$500,000 in home sales values in Brookfield in January thus far.
5% commission (that's high but OK) That's $25,000 Half goes to the listing agency - half to the selling agency Assume both are in Brookfield - doubtful That's $12,500 to each agency Salesperson gets 1% each (if they're lucky) - that's $5,000 split - $2,500 each before car costs, expenses, etc. for the month of January Take out taxes and net, net, they might clear $1,500 for the month. That's take home of $375 per week. Shop Rite pays more than that - actually it's minimum wage - and that's the only real estate salesperson who made anything in Brookfield to pay the Christmas bills that came in. Real Estate sales in Brookfield is a minimum wage job. ...and that's 100% more than the commercial brokers made. "Do the math..."
