Brookfield Historical Society Hosts Super Model Train Exhibition XXII

Super Model Train Exhibition set for Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24, 2013, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Brookfield Historical Society

Don Winkley, left, John Furlong and Bob Brown of  the Brookfield Museum and Historical Society, will once again be on hand for this year’s upcoming “Super Model Train Exhibition XXII”. The event is to be held, Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brookfield Museum located at the intersection of Routes 25 and 133 in Brookfield Center.

According to Show Director, Bob Brown, “The exhibition traditionally brings in hundreds of visitors each year to enjoy the model train layouts ranging from smaller Z, N and HO to the larger S, O and G gauge.” In addition, railroad memorabilia, videos of real life trains and railroad related photos, antiques, artwork, signs and static displays will be just a few of the items on exhibit at the show.  Some model train operators dressed as railroad engineers, and signalmen, as well as authentic train sounds, help add realism to the event.

Toys and selected model trains will be available for children of all ages to operate. Items for sale will include railroad whistles, blue and pink striped boy and girl engineer hats, small train replicas, toys and other railroad related articles.
