Brookfield Historical Society Hosts 21th Annual Crafts Festival

Annual Crafts Festival set or Sat., November 3, 2012, 9AM - 4 PM Whisconier Middle School

Susan Murphy, Chairperson of this year’s 21th Annual Festival of Crafts in Brookfield and Stacey Olszewski, Show Coordinator, will be on hand along with more than sixty juried vendors whose items will be on sale during the much anticipated event.  The Festival, sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society,  will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Whisconier Middle School gymnasiums located on West Whisconier Road off of Route 25 in Brookfield. The scheduled time is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.   

According   Olszewski,  “… the upcoming crafts festival will feature a number of new exhibitors, many from the surrounding area. In these trying economic times the mostly hand made crafts will provide the buyers with a unique opportunity to purchase, truly, one of a kind gifts, at reasonable prices.”

The Festival of Crafts has grown to be one of the largest and most successful pre-holiday sales event of its kind throughout the northeast region of the state.  Among the many item for sale this year are jewelry, decorative pieces, folk art, personal grooming articles, soaps, soft sculptures, clothing, baskets, handbags, candles, assorted holiday treasures, edible delicacies, wood crafts, pet items and a host of diverse choices that can be bought as gifts or for home use.

There will also be face painting for the children and a food court available for visitors to purchase soup, sandwiches, snacks and drinks so they can shop and feed the kids at the same time.
