DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION TODAY!
Parents, are you feeling challenged with tantrums? whining? bedtime routines? sibling conflicts? power struggles? Is it hard to leave the park? shop for groceries? Do you wish you connected more and argued less? Or, do you just want to learn some more effective parenting skills? You are not alone!
Join parents just like you for 6 weeks of parenting classes. Learn to discipline with firmness and kindness, have fun as a parent, and set the foundation for important social and life skills. Help your child feel a sense of belonging and significance through mutual respect and encouragement. Learn tools to teach your children coping skills, how to implement family meetings, the difference between praise vs. encouragement consequences vs. punishment and try new solutions. In this experiential workshop, you will actively engage in your own learning.
Based on Jane Nelsen’s Positive Discipline books, these classes are a fun way to connect with other parents in the community and practice the skills over a few weeks so that you can go more in depth with the material.
Date/Time/Place: Tuesday 7-9 PM, 9/10, 9/24, 10/1, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5. Brookfield Public Library Community Room.
