2nd annual 3-mile WALK 4 WATER is an educational experience fundraising event. Raise awareness. Raise funds. Come experience one aspect of water poverty first hand by carrying water like almost 1 Billion people on earth that don't have access to clean water. Participants carry water for the second half of the walk (2 2-liter bottles filled with water - about 8 lbs.) to simulate what women and children experience every day. As Confucius says: "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand." Walkers fundraise and get pledges donations. A full 100% of all money raised goes to DIGDEEP's water access projects (like wells). DIGDEEP Water is a registered 501(c)3 human rights organization that defends the human right to water for all people on earth.
