Brookfield Dems Elect New Leadership, Committee

Brookfield Democratic Town Committee elects new chairman and adds nine new members.

The Brookfield Democratic Town Committee (DTC) held its caucus and elected a new slate, as well as new leaders on Thursday, Jan. 9. The slate consists of 25 members, nine of whom are newly appointed.

In addition to the appointment of nine new slate members, existing members also elected Ray DiStephan as the new Chair of the DTC.

“I am both honored and excited to serve as the Chair of the Brookfield DTC,” DiStephan said. “We have a very talented group and they are fired up to work hard for the town.”

DiStephan also mentioned that he was very impressed with the number of people who participated in this year’s caucus.

“With the amount of people who attended on Thursday night, it is apparent that our town is ready to work harder than ever for change moving forward,” he said. “The DTC is going to work hard in order to make that happen.”

Current Vice-Chair Ron Jaffe will continue in his role.

“I’ve served the DTC in various roles for quite some time,” Jaffe said. “There is a new energy now. We have a waiting list to join the DTC. That’s exciting.”

The DTC meets the second Thursday of every month at Town Hall. All interested Democrats are invited to attend.
