Two Days Left to Vote in Top Dog Contest

Register your dog with the Town Clerk's office and vote for Top Dog 2011.

Brookfield Town Clerk’s Annual Top Dog Contest is underway. All dogs must be registered with the Town Clerk’s office in the month of June. Come to Town Hall and register your dog by the end of the month and bring in a picture of your pet to be eligible for one of the prizes listed below. Be sure to vote for your favorite.

The dog that receives the most votes will become Brookfield’s Top Dog of 2012 and will receive a special prize. All other dogs entered will be eligible to participate in a drawing for the rest of the prizes.

Here are the prizes in alphabetical order:

            Four Paws Grooming                       1 $45.00 Gift Certificate

            Magic Touch                                        1 Professional Grooming

                                                                              1 Nail Trim

            Waggin’ Train Dog Grooming     1 $45.00 Grooming

Please stop into the Town Clerk’s office to vote for your favorite dog. First Selectman Bill Davidson will oversee the drawing for the additional prizes.

All winners will be notified and invited to attend a ceremony to award the prizes.

We also wish to thank Joy Sheridan and the Brookfield Art Department for refurbishing our Top Dog sign located at the driveway entrance to the Town Hall.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
