Planetary Conjunction Starts Monday Night, Peaks Thursday

On Monday, March 12, a planetary phenomenon will take place.

On Monday, March 12, two planets will be extremely close together and they just so happen to be the two brightest planets in the sky.

Jupiter and Venus will line up tonight and peak on Thursday, March 15. The phenomenon is known as a planetary conjunction.

According to the EarthSky website, this planetary conjunction will be one of the best ones to see in the coming years.

Mars is still visible too and will not be so visible again until April 2014, the EarthSky website stated. The next Jupiter-Venus conjunction is slated to occur on May 28, 2013.
