Get Out for Trivia, Free Shows or a New Play

Why Go: Free trivia night with prizes of up to $50 in food and drink. Teams of up to six people may register.

Why Go: Pink Floyd tribute band Beyond the Wall will be playing the Concert in the Park this week. Come early, at 5:30 p.m., for a back-to-school meet-and-greet before the show.

When/Where: Friday, August 26, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. , 182 Whisconier Road, Brookfield

Why Go: Catch the opening night of The Book of Liz at The Brookfield Theatre for the Arts. The show is running through September 10. Check the link above for information about the show.

Price: $20 general admission; $15 students with ID

When/Where: Saturday, August 27, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. , 100 Pocono Road, Brookfield

Why Go: They had so much fun last year they're doing it again — Brookstock II is a concert/fundraiser for Brooke Taptick and Cystic Fibrosis. There will be raffles, a clown and music from local bands.

Price: Free admission

When/Where: Sunday, August 28, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bridgewater Congregational Church, 10 Clapboard Road, Bridgewater

Why Go: Brookfield High School (BHS) senior will perform selections from Prokofiev, Bach and Fauré during a solo recital at the Bridgewater Congregational Church.
