Frugal Family: 'Tax Relief' Sale, Half-Priced Appliances and Kids Eat Free

Deals of the Week: Wednesday, April 13, through Tuesday, April 19.

Every week, we'll be highlighting great deals for area parents and their families around the Brookfield area

This week, Frugal Family scoured our local sources and came up with some great deals. There’s a mattress sale that ends soon. You can also pick up new appliances for a fraction of regular retail prices. Pet Supplies for the warmer weather and your kids can eat free on Tuesdays.  Lastly, there’s a great deal on hair straightening. 

Tax Relief Event

Deal: Sleepys, 106 Federal Road, Brookfield, is having their Tax Relief Event. Take 10 percent off the sale price on selected models.

Good Through: Today, Wednesday, April 13

Kids Eat Free

Deal: Panchos & Gringos, 777 Federal Road, Brookfield. Kids eat free on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to close.  Order an adult meal and your child (11 and under) can order a meal from the children’s menu for free.

Good Through: Ongoing

Springtime is for Pets

Deal: Pet Supplies Plus, 3 Federal Road, is offering flea and tick supplies at 20 percent off for spring. Also, tie-out cables, stakes and chains for dogs as well as flex–control leads are 20 percent off.

Good Through: April 30

Half-Priced Appliances

Deal: Buzaid Scratch and Dent, 227 Federal Road, Brookfield. Save up to 50 percent on scratch and dent and floor-model appliances. All have the manufacturer’s warranties.  Hurry in for the best selection.

Good Through: Ongoing

Brazilian Blowout

Deal: Nu-Wave Hair Studio, 77 Stony Hill Road, Brookfield, is having a “Brazilian Blowout.” The Brazilian Keratin smoothing system is on special for $125.

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.

So Mandarin Chinese won't be a requirement? Perhaps Manchurin Chinese? Cantonese Chinese? MongolianRead More Chinese? Which Chinese are the British speaking these days? Their empire stretched in the Hindu speaking parts of Asia but they aren't teaching Hindu. A quandry indeed.
