Frugal Family: Deal on Oil Changes and Internet Coupons

Every week, we'll be highlighting great deals for area parents and their families around the Brookfield area.

This week we found deals on takeout pizza and Pepsi, a savings on oil changes, a sale and discount on new flooring, and a way to save on office supplies.  We also bought delicious summer fruit at a good price this week. 

Oil Change

Deal: Jiffy Lube, 112 Federal Rd, Danbury has a coupon on the website for $5 off.  On Tuesdays there is an additional discount. Their “signature service” oil change is discounted to $25.99 and up, depending on the type of oil you choose.

Good Through: no expiration date

Flooring Clearance Sale

Deal: Flooring America, 195 Federal Rd, Brookfield is having a summer clearance sale.  Selected styles are 30 percent to 70 percent off. They are also offering “no charge extras” such as free furniture removal and resetting, and free removal and disposal of your old carpet. In addition you will find a coupon offer on their website good for $100 off your flooring purchase. You can combine this coupon with the sale prices.

Good Through: Both the sale and the coupon are good through August 31

Pizza Special

Deal: , 610 Federal Rd, Brookfield is offering a pizza special consisting of one large pizza, one small pizza and one liter of Pepsi for $19.95. This offering is good for takeout only. Please note The Table opens at 5 p.m. and is closed on Tuesdays.

Good Through: August 20, 2011

Coupons for Office Supplies

Deal: , 14 Candlewood Lake Rd, Brookfield offers printable coupons on their website when you sign up with your e-mail address. The coupons can be for individual items and/or for a percentage off your total order. 

Good Through: ongoing

Peaches and Grapes

Deal: , 143 Federal Rd, Brookfield has peaches and grapes for 99 cents per pound this week. 

Good Through: August 6

I would recommend supporting an increase similar to Ridgefield's which was under 2% (1.97%). If aRead More community like Ridgefield can perform at high levels with an increase under 2%, the Board of Education, in asking for almost twice that is openly admitting that they have installed inefficient management in school administration. Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
