Disney Hoodie for Kids Recalled Due to Lead Paint

The zipper of the hooded sweatshirt – sold exclusively at Target – contains illegal amounts of lead.

The U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission, along with a New York clothing company, voluntary recalled a trio of hoodies adorned with Disney characters such as Snow White and Mickey Mouse.

The $18 T-shirt and hoodie combo were sold in 2011 at Target stores nationwide. The product reportedly contains lead on the zipper that exceeds federal standards. There are 6,200 units that have been sold to customers.

Consumers can return the clothing to any Target to receive a full refund. For additional information, contact Children's Apparel Network at (800) 919-1917 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. [Central Time] Monday through Friday, or visit the firm's website and click on the "Press" link.
