Brookfield Paving Project: Week of May 16

Micro paving is expected to continue after mechanical issues early last week.

The micro paving machine broke down while crews were working on North Mountain Road May 10. Based on the latest information given to the Department of Public Works, the machine will be repaired and on site Monday. If that is the case, and the weather permits, crews will be continuing work on North Mountain Road.

Riverfiord Road will follow later in the week.

Reclamation and paving will continue on Prospect Court, Prospect Drive and Ridgeview Terrace next week.

Paving work wrapped up on Oak Grove Road last Wednesday.

Further, the sewer system on the referendum will require municipal funding since it is backed by the full faith and credit of the town of Brookfield and reduces the town's borrowing ability - the advertisement for which indicated it would not impact municipal funding.
