BHS PTSO Seeks New Members, Community Involvement

BHS PTSO- Parent, teacher, student organization helps with improvements to BHS. Currently looking for new members.

The BHS PTSO parent, teacher, student organization has made some improvements to our school over the last couple of years.  All of these improvements were done with fundraising money (through SAT/ACT prep courses and flower bulb sales) and are valuable to our students, staff, school system and community.

Currently we have purchased and installed a new sign at the athletic and auditorium section of the school (see photo) Also all the gardening in the courtyards and out front as part of our BHS beautification project (see photo).

Some of things we are currently working on is placing picnic table and more benches around the school as well as replacing all the trash receptacles and having  BHS logos put on them. We also working on student recognition for most improved student in every department for each grade with movie passes and other goodies. May 7th the BHS PTSO will be hosting a breakfast for teacher appreciation week.

Every year we purchase the CAPT signs hanging in the front entrance as well as hosting two yearly staff appreciation/holiday parties.

We are currently looking for new members, PARENTS, TEACHERS, STUDENTS, to get involved.  We meet the the 3rd Tuesday of the month at BHS teachers lounge. This is a very friendly, almost self run organization that will  NOT be very time consuming .  Please contact Diane Flood BHS PTSO President at dflood1600@msn.com with any question.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
