Making Cards for Soldiers and Helping Others to a Thanksgiving Meal

We had a great turn out at our November Pack meeting. Sgt. Frank O'Farrell spoke to the Scouts about our military personnel overseas and the important work they do for us.

The boys (and a few siblings!) all made cards or wrote notes that we will be delivering to the recruiting office to be sent to our troops who are deployed during the Holiday season.

Cub Scouts donated food items and gift cards from local grocery stores for the Brookfield Food Pantry, as well as lots of goodies for our Thanksgiving family and a good start on the Holiday gifts, chaired by Christine Hand for Cub Scouts 135's Brookfield Holiday Family Program for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Mike Brooks, Cubmaster, adds “Over the last month or so, our Dens have been busy working on achievements towards ranks while building race cars, taking hikes, learning about safety, visiting a Police station, and attending the Camporee where our Webelos II den earned another new ribbon for our Pack flag. We had a big group at the annual 'Rake-n-Bake' event and were able to help out at three different homes this year with fall clean-up.  Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in that, and congratulations to all the Scouts on another month of great achievements.”
