Reflections.....

As I look back on 2013, I am filled with gratitude for an amazing year.  I want to share how Positive Discipline has profoundly changed my life.

I have learned to be more respectful in all of my relationships, both of how I am with others, as well as how I treat myself.  I have learned how to walk away from a situation when I have "flipped my lid", and wait to come back to discuss what upset me until I cooled down.  I have apologized to my 24 year old son for rescuing him, and not allowing him learn from his mistakes.  I have apologized to my 21 year old son for doing things for him that he is perfectly capable of doing himself, thereby not allowing him to grow to his full capability.

I have developed incredible new relationships with people who care immensely for the well-being of children and families.  We, together, are building a strong team of Certified Parent Educators of Positive Discipline in Western Connecticut.  We have touched the lives of a lot of families already, and we are just beginning.
