Community Update

Anthony Schiavo, 84, of Bethel, cherished husband of Dolores
(Guido) Schiavo, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 5th
in the presence of his family.  He was
born in New York, NY on March 18, 1930, son of the late Vincenzo and Felicia
(Sansone) Schiavo. 



 



Tony was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He was happiest spending time with his loved
ones and will be sadly missed.

In addition to his beloved wife of 60 years, Dolores, he is
survived by his loving daughter, Irene Schiavo employed by the Bethel Board of
Education; his three cherished grandsons, George DiGrandi, Joseph DiGrandi and
his wife, Amanda, and Michael DiGrandi; his sister, Tessie Etter; and brother,
Michael Schiavo and his wife, Filomena. 
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his three brothers, Louis, James and
Joseph. 



 



Funeral Services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home,
247 White Street, Danbury on Wednesday, April 9th at 10:00am.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will
follow. 



 



The family will receive friends at the funeral home on
Tuesday between the hours of 3:00 and 7:00pm.
