Who's Open for Business in Stamford

If you're a local business owner who is open for business post-Hurricane Sandy, please post your info in our comments section below to let readers know.

With so many local businesses still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy, Patch is compiling a list of businesses that are open and serving the community. Are you open for business? Email this Patch editor with the name and address of your business, the hours you’re open. Plus, please include any special services, products or other information that might be useful to the community. For example, do you have wifi, fresh water, or charging stations? Let us know and we’ll publish it on Patch, in our email newsletter, and on our Facebook page.

We know, in Stamford:

  • Bartaco is open because yesterday, they were offering use of their dishwasher to residents who needed to clean utensils or steralize children's toys.
  • The Stamford YMCA was open Friday and offering use of their shower facilities.
  • The Ferguson Library remains open with extended hours for those who need a place to warm up and charge electrical devices.

Please feel free to let us and your neighbors know when your favorite places to grab some food or hang out are open in the comments!

I was emailed this notification about another open business in Stamford: "Flamboyant Chicho Cocina 61 William Street Stamford, Connecticut 06902 We are open for business! We have Optimum Wifi set up in our restaurant. Great food that's cooked homestyle for those tired of eating burgers and other fast foods like we were when we lost power in our own home. Our hours are 9am-10pm everyday for breakfast, lunch & dinner. we stay open later if we have enough customers coming in. We know times are rough so our times are flexible if the demand is there for some good eating. Thanks! J Monegro"
