Shop Locally in Brookfield on Small Business Saturday

Start your holiday shopping at locally owned stores during Small Business Saturday 2012, taking place on November 24.

Small Business Saturday
is on November 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that the community thrives on.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked.

With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Brookfield.

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities.

You can “like” Small Business Saturday on Facebook by visiting www.facebook.com/shopsmall.

One of my favorite small business' in Brookfield to support is the Mother Earth Gallery at the four corners. Take your kids mining in the man made mine finding such treasures as Rose Quartz, Lapis, Geodes, Amethyst and Pyrite(Fools Gold). They host kids birthday parties as well. Mother Earth Gallery is a great place to visit to find that special one of a kind gift for your friends and loved ones. Stop in at the Mother Earth Gallery at the four corners and lend your support to our local small business'.

My absolute favorite chocolate! Bridgewater Chocolate is made here in Brookfield. Sweet and savory! Love in every bite! Try the decadent Turtles, Coconut Igloos, Toffees and more. You are sure to fall in love with this local favorite--Bridgewater Chocolate. Stop by their location in Brookfield on the corner of Silvermine Rd and RTE 7

I've always wanted to go to Mother Earth Gallery but haven't had the pleasure yet! I'd love to make a day trip of it - Michelle and Brookfield Patch readers, can you recommend a great local restaurant?

One of my favorites is Casablanca at the four corners. I also love to frequent 189 Sports cafe for a more casual atmosphere. Maggie McFly's is always a good time. John's Best Pizza is a joy to frequent as they offer a two for 30$ meal.(An enjoyable must have in our current economy) Pancho's and Gringo's is a favorite for their famous margaritas and authentic mexican cuisine. I love food and visiting our local restaurants is a great way to support our small business' and local community.
