This seems like a no-brainer. I nominate Bagelman on Candlewood Lake Road in Brookfield.

Being an ex-New Yorker......there are NO bagel shops in Brookfield, or , for that matter, in Connecticut. If i have to vote for something close to a bagel then it would have to be Bagelman.

Can somebody think of the complete list of places that MAKE bagels in Brookfield? I think Bagelman is the only place. (And Peter, I agree with you.)

We love Bagelman's Bagels and we love Marc because he is such a die hard Met's Fan!

We love Bagelman's bagels but we mostly love Marc because he is such a diehard Met's fan!!

Come on...Bagleman's bagels are the best, PERIOD!!!

Jesters Coffee at 331 Federal Rd. carries fresh Bagelman bagels so I guess it's a tie!

I never will understand why they cannot make a REAL bagel in this state. One would think we are living a million miles away from New York. And, for that matter, why can't we get real New York corned beef ad pastrami in this state?
Adele Friedman June 23, 2012 at 03:21 PM
I would go with Bagelman, too. Although some of Stew's are pretty good.
