No One Is Cranky Getting Frozen Yogurt

After working construction jobs in Southern Connecticut and Southern California, Glastonbury native Justin Gregg returned to his home state ready to open a small business.

Three years ago, Gregg's friend opened Connecticut's first frozen yogurt lounge, Froyo World, in New Haven. Gregg said he was looking for something new and decided to open his own Froyo World. He chose to open in Brookfield for the location in Shop Rite Plaza and because he liked the feel of the town.

"I'm new to owning a small business," the 29-year-old shop owner said. "But if I'm going to do the small business thing, now's the time," both in his own career and the economic climate.

For his first business, Gregg said he is having a blast.

"The customers that come in here are all bubbly and smiling," he said. "No one is cranky when they're getting frozen yogurt."

The storefront opened up only two months ago but already Gregg is looking to expand, with plans to have an outdoor patio by the end of August.
