Pulling together Census data on the number of businesses, total reported annual payrolls and the number of paid employees, we’ve compiled a list of the top-paying communities in Connecticut.
The ranking in the list above shows the communities with businesses paying the highest average salaries (annual payroll divided by total employees) and the list below has the towns with the fewest high-paying jobs.
(Multiple zip codes within cities are combined, however distinct areas, such as Southport and Voluntown, are ranked independently of their greater metropolitan areas.)
