Brookfield Girls Win CT Cup Soccer Championship
The Brookfield Bombers beat Farmington Lady United 2:1 to capture the Connecticut State Cup Soccer Championship on Saturday, November 2. The final game, played on Farmington's home field was The Bombers sixth consecutive win in this single elimination tournament that began in September with a field of 80 Connecticut travel teams. The talented young team scored 26 goals and gave up only 2 over the course of the tournament delivering a high level of skill with consistency, energy, and discipline. The Bombers are also undefeated in league play and have advanced to the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association's Southwest District Playoffs in Norwalk in the upcoming weekend.
