The crispy leaves of fall sprinkle the ground, covering everything in sight. Autumn has reached its high point: pumpkins are in excessive demand, apple picking is the usual activity for weekends, and attending a football game is becoming the typical location for everyone on a Friday night. What could be better than attending a carnival as well?
The student council at Brookfield High School has arranged for the recommencement of the annual Carnival that occurs before the Homecoming football game. Due to the previous construction on the high school, the Carnival decreased in size and attendance. The student council hopes to reconstruct the carnival spirit in the Brookfield community.
On Friday, October 25, from 5pm-7pm, there will be a variety of carnival-like games and food for kids of all ages. The carnival is an opportunity for the wonderfully dedicated students of Brookfield High School to promote community involvement while raising money for their clubs and activities.
Perhaps the most highly anticipated game is the dunk tank, hosting a lovely seat for BHS Principal Mr. Palumbo and WMS Principals Mr. Renda and Mr. Pepsoski! The BHS senior class has rented a massive bouncy house that will be open to students of all ages. BHS’s English teacher, Mrs. Faleri, will be arriving in style with her prestigious pizza truck while other teachers represent their school spirit as club advisers. Clubs have signed up for a variety of games including karaoke, lollipop guessing, and a pie-eating contest. Additionally, many clubs are selling foam fingers, horns, pom-poms, and massive amounts of food!
The food stands will continue well past the 7 o’clock kick-off by the BHS football team, allowing members of the community to watch the high school football team take on the Oxford Wolverines. The student council and the rest of the clubs at BHS hope to see all of the community’s faces at the game! Don’t forget: October 25 from 5-7 is the Carnival and from 7-10 is the game!
