The Dark Knight Rises in Ridgefield this Weekend

The Ridgefield Playhouse will be hosting consecutive showings of The Dark Knight Rises this Labor Day weekend.


It’s simple: If you haven’t seen this summer’s most popular blockbuster, this Labor Day weekend is the time to do it. Especially if you live in Ridgefield.

That’s because Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises will be playing all day, every day at three-and-a-half hour intervals from this Saturday at 4:30 p.m. until Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the .

Matinee tickets (before 5 p.m) are $6; shows afterwards are $8.50. Children with adult supervision and senior citizens may purchase tickets at matinee prices whenever. Additional information may be found here.

The Dark Knight Rises has grossed over $422 million dollars and has a 92-percent approval rating from audience members and an 87-percent approval rating from critics on RottenTomatoes.com. The movie gained additional attention this summer because of a tragic shooting which occurred at the movie’s premier in Aurora, CO., leaving 12 people dead and 58 wounded. New information showing that the shooter to the University of Iowa’s neurology program came to light yesterday.
